JOHN ANTHONY BURGESS WILSON

Paul Phillips, Director of Orchestras and Chamber Music, Senior Lecturer in Music at Brown University writes

Mr. Burgess’s Almanack is scored for 14 winds, percussion, and keyboard: 2 2 2 2 - 1 1 0 0 timp 2perc piano. Percussion = small hand drum ("petit tambour à main"), xyl, glock, vib. The Brown Orchestra recorded it from the handwritten manuscript score and parts, but earlier this year I began preparing a new computer-engraved edition. It's nearly done, but needs more work before it can be rented out. I anticipate completing the edition in November or December. This would be the only source for the materials.
