April in Singapore

I am honoured to be guest conductor for the Philharmonic Winds Concert on 30th April with the Asian premiere of two important new British works, Adam Gorb's Farewell and Kenneth Hesketh's Danceries (Set 11) at the Esplanade Concert Hall, Singapore. The complete programme will be:
Marching Song of Democracy | Percy Grainger |
Cello Concerto | Friedrich Gulda - Soloist Li-Wei Qin |
Farewell | Adam Gorb - Asian Premiere |
Danceries 11 | Kenneth Hesketh - Asian Premiere |
To find out more about Danceries (Set 11) look at the Hesketh World Premiere page. Much of this programme will be repeated by the orchestra at the WASBE Conference in Taiwan, the Hesketh being included in a morning repertoire session, the Grainger and Gorb in a gala concert together with a world premiere from Luis Serrano Alarcón.
