2 INTERNATIONAL WIND FESTIVAL
ROYAL NORTHERN COLLEGE OF MUSIC, MANCHESTER, UK

The next International Wind Festival sponsored jointly by the Royal Northern College of Music and BASBWE, the British Association of Symphonic Bands andWind Ensembles, will be held during the weekend of 4/5/6 November 2005, in conjunction with Saxophone Weekend.

Plans include an in-service day for teachers, world premiere of the Richard Rodney Bennett Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Wind Ensemble. For further details, contact Ian Duckworth.

The Band of the Royal Australian Airforce under John Buckley performed Martin Ellerby’s Paris Sketches (Maecenas) in Newcastle, New South Wales at a public concert which was broadcast live across Australia via ABC Classic FM. In the past months, the RAAAF have also performed Ellerby’s Dona Nobis Pacem and the Tuba Concerto. To index

We've "only just begun" as the song says. His new book Prophetic Trumpets: Wind and Wind-Chorus Music by Franz Liszt and Richard Wagner" is to be published by Pendragon Press
